Buillding the snow fort and more!

December 2008
Some fun pictures of the kids building a snow fort, sledding and playing around.
I went outside to take some photos of the kids in the snow cave and when I came in Megan decided to put some of her own gloves on. They were just oven mitts!
The kids sledding on the hill.

Playing in the snow & more!

December 26, 2008
Today the kids wanted to go out in the snow so bad with dad. They were outside most of the morning until we went to visit Grandma/pa.

The kids worked so hard on this sledding hill. And a lot of fun on it when it was done.

Christmas Day! 2008!

December 25, 2008
What a great Christmas morning. The kids actually slept in until just after 7am amazing they never do that. And we had a white Christmas. A little more snow than we were thinking but it all worked out ok. And a great day being together with one another. We had such a great Christmas! Rob and Justin went and shoveled several of the neighbors walks and enjoyed the day serving others. It was nice to think of the savior and all he has done for us and our family.
We got a lot of snow on Christmas day! So much that we decided to just stay home and play in it and enjoy our new toys and things. We went visiting family another day! We were glad we did. Here is Justin by the snow in the front yard!

Justin with all his stuff! Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve!

December 24, 2008
Twas the night before Christmas....
What a fun night with the kids.
Making sugar cookies for Santa!

Frosting cookies!

Katie loved the pink frosting. She would use so much frosting and we would ask her what is that cookie, she would say "it's an icing mountain cookie" that it was too. The funny thing was that days later all of us were fighting for Katie's Icing mountain cookies because they had the most frosting on them.

Frosting cookies, or eating them.

Megan! I think she ate basically everything she touched!

Picking out which cookies they wanted for Santa and writing their letter to Santa.

Katie with the Reindeer food. We put this outside all over the snow for the reindeer!

Rob sprinkling the reindeer food!

Thanksgiving Point for Christmas!

December 2008
Another fun Christmas Tradition is to go down to Thanksgiving point and see the lights. This year we took a wagon ride pulled by horses for FHE the week of Christmas. It was cold but the kids LOVED it! They sang Christmas songs and had a great time. Afterwards we walked up and saw the reindeer and they thought this was so cool too.
Katie and Megan!

Justin and Rob laughing.

Mom and Megan! Megan thought that the lights were so cool and fun to watch. She kept pointing at them and making noises. She liked the horses too.

Justin, Katie, and Megan looking at the reindeer. We had to explain that these are some of Santa's extras. Not the ones he uses to pull the sleigh. They were still in training.

Katie & Megan were fascinated by the reindeer!
