Christmas Eve!

December 24th 2007
Justin and uncle Brandon reading Twas the night before Christmas together!

Daddy helping the kids put out cookies, milk, and carrotts for santa and the reindeer and writing their letter to them. They were so excited!!!

Christmas Program!

December 2007
This year for the Christmas program with Rob's family Justin and Katie each wanted to sing a solo of one of their favorite Christmas songs. These are the photos of them singing they both did such a great job and we were so proud of them.
Justin singing I'm wishing on a star from the Polar Express!

Katie singing Up on the House Top!

Megan Just being her happy self!

Making Christmas Cookies!

December 2007
I Love Christmas. Today I made Sugar Cookies with the kids. We had a lot of fun! Another one of those fun traditions I like to do every year with them.
Megan, Justin, and Katie Rolling out the dough and making shapes! Ok so Megan is just watching us and playing with the cookie cutters!

Aren't they good! I think they ate more dough than we ever even baked!

FROSTING! I was surprised that Katie is actually using green frosting here I swear she only frosted pink ones. And Justin's favorite part was putting on the sprinkles!

Justin and Katie! I wasn't lying when I said they ate more than we baked it seemed!

All I can say is I have some creative little kids. They really did a great job decorating. All the pink ones are from Katie. Justin liked to use a lot of colors and lot's of sprinkles so those are all his! Mommy had a little fun decorating some too. We wre ALL a mess and so was the kitchen, but we had a superb time doing it and they tasted great!

SANTA!

December 2007
Another one of our family traditions is visiting Winder Dairy every year for FHE one night in December. The kids love it because Santa is there and of course food. We also enjoy seeing the lights which actually aren't anything spectacular any more but it is still a lot of fun!
Justin and Santa! Justin asked Santa for a Train Table this year. He still loves trains so much!
He actually said that Santa was too fast tonight that he didn't even get to ask him for what he wanted. I told him we would see him again.

Katie is so funny. She changed almost daily what she wanted to ask Santa for and they were always so innocent and thoughtful. Usually they consisted of things for me. Some of my favorites were; a guitar like dad and justin's, a Jello mold, a water bottle, and a new kitchen. The New water bottle and kitchen seemed to stick, and that is what she asked him for here.

Megan with Santa! Still too young to talk but we had her sit on his lap anyway. She liked his beard as most young babies do. She is asking santa for the Playskool ball popper.

Justin and Katie eating their yummy scones and drinking their hot chocolate!

Rob enjoying his scone and honey butter. I am taking the pictures so I am not in any of them but I had fun too! Scones are one of my favorite foods.

Remembering Grandma!

Today Megan wore the dress that Rob's Grandma had made to church. She looked so cute in it and it made us think of her and her wonderful life. We love and miss you Grandma! In many ways Megan reminds us of her.

Visiting Temple Square!

December 2007
Tonight the family ventured to Temple Square. It is a tradition of ours to go downtown every year to see the lights. We had a lot of fun .
Rob and the kids in front of the temple! Katie was so funny while there it was really cold. She kept saying to the cold "get off me cold, get off me!" As if it would listen to her or something. Kids are so innocent and cute!

This was one of my favorite pictures they were both so excited when we got to the top near the Christis statue. I think at first Katie thought it was really Jesus. they both stared in awe and amazement. They are really trying so hard to be like him. Mom and Dad are so proud of both of you. We love you so much!

After we went to the temple we went up to Rob's office to get his laptop. It took us a while due to a "suspicious package" in a building nearby and all the streets had been blocked off and the police weren't allowing anyone into the area. While up in the office we got jammies on and had some hot chocolate. Yum, sorry Megan, none for you just yet. We went and saw Christmas, and Bible street and read the story of Jesus' birth as well. It was a wonderful night. Merry Christmas all and Happy traditions.
